Farewell 2016

Goodbye 2016, goodbye Blogger. 

Final post and thanks for the memories you have enabled me to ink down.

For a greater 2017 ahead! 

No doubt a very memorable one and a reminder to myself that happiness and health come more important than anything else.

Awesome Am Strikes Again

Her Favourite bag, a gift from her dad. It follows her everywhere. Everyday. It goes into her schoolbag, her purse put inside because she says her pocket in her skirt is too small. 

What's inside? Her beloved belongings. Tamagotchi, coins, magnets and a rubber ball. 

More into this weird combination. Am claims that the magnet attracts the coins, hence she won't lose them easily. 

It's school holidays but the big boy has extra lessons. Enrichment classes for three days, last bite for the PSLE. 

In return, the promise is he gets to pick what he wants to eat for a meal a day. 

Today, he chose Rollie Olie.

On the way to the centre, we heard a Chinese song which was sang by 熊天平。 I told the kids that they would not remember the singer's name by tonight. Ammi said "I'd bet you won't even remember to ask us that question!" Which is so true.

So, to remember the name, Ammi keyed it in her tamagotchi. Quite useful a device! 

Max and Us

Awesome Am

No idea why she kept grapes on a tissue. She said it was to test the rate of evaporation... But she had to keep the, away as I told her if the grapes roll off the table, Max may eat them. And they are poisonous for him. 

And this critic's note about her pen pal's language. 

We are Six on Bikes now!

The day has come, I don't need to cycle and weight lift at the same time! The girls are 21kg now, we were still ferrying them one each on our bikes when they were around 19kg. Legs were hanging over the leg rest, centers of gravity were challenged once the girls move a little. 

As hubby put it, "My job is done," He's taught all four kids how to ride the bike and now, we can go places in a long row of six! Just need to figure out how Max can join us on such outings.

End of Third Doggy Class

Max graduated from his third dog training. We have done basic obedience, CSI and now tricks. It's been fun as the classmates were relatively the same, owners became friends while dogs.... Are still trying to get along with each other. 

Max made progress with Ellie, the golden retriever. Ellie doesn't enjoy boisterous creatures and Max happens to be one over enthusiastic dog. Strangely, she enjoys his company and he couldn't wait to play with her after class. 

Love this last photo, it's a scene straight out of a love story.

It's now getting Max to practise and remember those tricks, while waiting for him to outgrow his over eagerness to lunge at every dog he sees. He got bitten on the head by another golden retriever when he walked over and drank from her water bowl.

Poor dog had a tuft of his fur bitten off.

Happy that there aren't anymore classes for a while. We get to relax more on Saturdays, now that we have dropped art and roller blading lessons. The bank gets to rest too! Yippee!

Majulah Singapura!

We were in our annual red and white outfits for our 51st National Day.

Dropped Ammi at her friend's place as she was invited to go watch a movie with her friend and her family. The rest of us then headed to Botanical Gardens - to look for Saga seeds as part of the Twins' music projects and also dog walking and Pokemon-ing.

We also tested out Max's backpack, he managed to carry his own water, water bowl and treats by himself. 

It's so hard to find them these days. Maybe it is the wrong season. We managed to collect around 50, all buried under roots and dead leaves. The pods were all dried up. Gotta do this again, kids loved having something to look for and I'm glad this is something non-digital!
