The kids were kept at home since last week because of a HFMD outbreak in their school.
This time, we are keeping them longer at home, for my sake. It would be agonising, to be stuck at home, suffering from a splitting pelvis, heavy tummy, raging heartburn, indigestion, constipation, and having HFMD which will likely give me blisters on both my palms and feet and ulcers in the mouth.
So I 'surrendered' and resorted to using the TV to entertain the kids. It has become too challenging to try and sit down on the floor to play jigsaw or other games with them. Their little chairs and table are also too low for me to sit comfortably. Only place that I rest my backside on is either the chair in the study room where I work, or the living room sofa where I get to put my feet up.
1 morning when Aidan was doing some activities with me, his feet kicked the Wii console below the table and he asked to play. So he got to play... and play.. and play... and I think he's gone through all games inside the Wii Sports Resort.
I particularly like 'swordfighting' in it. No, I don't enjoy playing but I enjoy watching my family slicing things/ hitting their opponents.
Check out Aidan in this video - really cracks me up. I tried to ask him to keep some distance between him and the TV set but when he gets too excited, he's almost kissing the TV!
