I'm back!

October came and passed in a flash. Very memorable month, considering that our firstborn turned 4, my pet dog passed away, our black-out curtain caused a hole in our ceiling and cost me $150 to fix it and days of worry that the curtain will fall onto my kids while they watch TV. Let's see, what else... to make up for the reasons why I have not been blogging for the past 2 weeks.

At work, I had the worse month ever since I joined. For those who don't know yet, I work 2.5days. This was stipulated by the company based on their needs, not that I chose these hours. For the month of October, I was working almost full day weeks but unfortunately, not 9-5pm but more like 11am to 5pm and then 10 pm-12am. I had 4 important events/ meetings, not to mention I had to create presentations and had to present during 1 of those (I really hate to speak in public. My definition of 'public': a group of more than 5 and not related to me by kinship or friendship.) Needless to say, I lost sleep and appetite due to stress and having to wake up early to make my way to the meetings which start at 8.30 a.m. sharp.

I also managed to get my nose halfway through 'Raise a Smart Child by Kindergarten' which is very interesting. I will share some points after I complete the book.

We visited the in-laws 1 weekend, went to East Coast Beach on another. I managed to have my 1st manicure and pedicure since Chinese New Year. Here are some pictures to share:

The Kids' favourite ride. The animals come in 2 sizes, with a teeny weenie one (not shown here) just nice for Am. These rides are situated at The Curve and miraculously, Am could drag her Granddad to the ice cream counter next to the rides given that she is too short to see past the table tops.

We are glad we managed to catch up with the Appletons each time we visited K.L. Certainly helps that both mummies love shopping online and Mrs Appleton has a shopping list of 'Things I Miss from Singapore' so I am officially her grocery supplier from Singapore.

This is Am and her great grandma, my maternal grandmother. She is such a sweetie who does not fear old people. She kisses her, hold her hand and willingly stands around during our visit.

The Princess who insists on entering the beach castle on East Coast Beach. She wasn't too pleased to find out that the door was locked and there was nothing Mummy could do to push it open. This was before she attempted to claim the castle as her own.

Great way to ride, this is a 3 seater bike. I sat behind and my gentleman hubby told me I didn't have to cycle at all. He will do all the work. He should... I was wearing a skirt. Am totally enjoyed her ride, being the 1st in front while her Mummy only had the view of the back of a big blue T-shirt. Our Prince, of course, flew off with his friend on his own bike, endangering lives in the process because he expected everyone else to give way to him and Sherwayne.
