福娃

It is because McDonalds is giving away these thingys in their Happy Meals which complied me to do more research about them.
You can read a whole lot about them on Wikipedia.

I had not paid much attention, until Aidan got his 1st one which was the red colour 'Huan Huan'. It says 'America' and it made me really curious what the other 4 colours stand for.
I learnt from forums that Blue is for Oceania, Black is for Europe, Orange is for Asia and we got the Green one today which stands for Africa. Cute!

The Olympics: Day 2

Google is great and very very smart to include the Olympics into its logo. I love it!!!

As Hubby and I sat on the couch watching the highlights of the Olympics, we are commenting on why would people want to compete in weight-lifting (for ladies - but Hurray to Thailand for winning the Gold!), hockey (there's so many similar ways to use a stick and a puck, i.e. golf?), and long distance cycling ("WTF? 3 hours on the roads of Beijing!"/ "How to go toilet like that?").

Watching swimming, diving and gymnastics evokes lots of emotions out of me, I scream, I yelp, I gasp while watching. Of which, I have only did/doing the first sports - swimming. Well, I've dived off the platform of the diving pool at Toa Payoh pool but it's not counted because it was arms-cross/ toes-down-first and all that time in the air, I was screaming in my head "Where's the water??!!".
Hubby enjoys watching most sports, and we both think trap shooting is bloody cool. That's something I'd like to try, no need for cardio output, all about hand-eye coordination, speed and precision. I like!
Watching beach volleyball now. 2 people team, running about in the sand and the hot sun....nah, not my cup of tea.
