If you get the chance to meet us in the next few weeks, watch out for the fanciest hair-cut in town.
While cutting my boy's hair yesterday (I have upgraded from scissors to shaver now), my aunt who was visiting, spoke to me and both my son and I looked up while the shaver froze at the same angle. This resulted into a hole in his hair!!!

I was mortified even though it wasn't my scalp that was showing. I kept mumbling to my mom and aunt: "Die, die, my hubby's going to scold me. He's going to kick up a fuss, die, die, die. He always complain when Aidan has a bad haircut"
Both of them came to comfort me and told me it really wasn't that bad, and Mom said I had worse hair days when I was younger when my hair was cut by Dad.
Aidan, on the other hand, was thrilled. He has been asking for a '
botak' hairstyle and in a way, he got his wish because of the
botak patch. He wanted one before his aunt's wedding last month and that was out of the question. Strangely, his Dad agreed it was fine this month (I always say: "Go and ask Papa", when he asks me to shave shorter each time) and asked me to give him a crew cut.
Wow, if I can give him a crew cut, I think I would have set up a 'child salon' at home, equipped with a wide-screen TV, refreshing R
ibena, and a 'lucky dip' box with sure-win prizes (the kids get so many little toys from the party bags from school) and maybe throw in water-play since they have to shower to thoroughly clean their hair anyway.
By the way, I got really affected and yesterday's hair turned out bad. The sides are uneven and I even cut his ear accidentally - MINOR, think 'paper cut'. He fussed for a few seconds until I gave him my spare Bingo game. I asked him:"So, ok for Mummy to accidentally cut your ear again next time?" He stared at the present, and nodded: "Ok, can!"
