She Plays, He Plays, They Play

They all play differently. Take this instance, just because all these photos are found in the same folder on the day I downloaded them into my laptop.

Ally walked around with this for a good two days. She went around experimenting with her toy, her own face and of course, her sister's face. Drew lots of giggles and laughter from all of us. Simple joy!

Ammi plays.. with Max's food. She takes pride in preparing dinner for him most nights. Slices the chicken, tears up the vegetables and measures the kibbles that go inside with the food. She also does spot checks on his water level.

Max plays with everything that he can get his jaws on. He won this at a contest for 'Best loose lease walking' and he tore it into pieces within two days. That's the way he plays.

What does Aidan play with? iPads, his sisters and texting on his phone. Tween-in-the-making... oh yes, and he plays with his food too. He likes to mash food into small bite size balls before munching them.

Whipples - one of the best toys ever. Homemade ice cream cones, waffles and macaroons.

And at the recent school charity car wash, the children played with Max while Max played with the water from the water hose.

Many 1sts

Today came with many first. Our twinsies' first swimming trial which turned out better than we expected! I had promised a little pencil topper 'Squinkies' and ice cream but they didn't really wanted those or reminded me of my promises. They obediently went into the water and cooperated with the tricks the swimming coach got them to do - except the part about putting their heads right into the water.

Before that, we had gone to the primary school to check out the CCAs for the older two. One has decided that he wants to join Track & Field (would be way down my list except for the 'field' part - I excelled in javelin and triple jump back in secondary school) and the girl decided she wants to try volleyball. Hubs and I are always game for kids to pick up as many sports as they can, so we are happy with their choices although I am dreading the differences and changes to routine and pick-up timings. I will also have to shift their tuitions on Friday...argh!

Along the way before we went for the swim trial, we visited a new office and picked up cardboard boxes from the new TV and plotter machine which the office has purchased.

Dream came true, as the idea copied from Facebook, was realized!

In case you are wondering, this is the way to go up. Although the older two did try their luck trying to climb the outer edge of the staircase, and climbing over the railing to rie the slide again.

The slide got upgraded as the rides took place. Pillows were added to soften the landing and reduced bumps along the way.

Love this idea. Weather-proof and convenient for me to fetch drinks and snacks and what-nots that we need!
